= What is the main mission of this bespoke tailoring project?
As you are aware, there is a shortage of good coat makers and trouser makers. This is exacerbated by the lack of young people entering the tailoring industry. It was felt that bespoke tailoring was a diminishing industry facing an uncertain future. In order to prevent the British handcraft tailoring skills dying out, Savile Row Quality Bespoke Tailoring Workshop was set up in Ningbo, China. The principle of this project is to update and refine the Chinese handcraft tailoring skills that were already in place to meet current Savile Row standards. To achieve this, we have engaged the well-respected Savile Row Tailors as official training consultants to our workshop.

= What is the difference in workmanship between a handcrafted Savile Row bespoke suit and made to measure?
Bespoke suits are hand crafted using approximately 5000 individual stitches. We use a floating canvas that has been pad stitched by hand. All our garments are hand finished. For details, please click here.

Made to measure suits are machine sewn and use a 'bonding' technique for the canvas application and are machine finished.

= Are there any samples available to inspect?

= How long will it take for me to receive the finished garment?
It will take up to 3 weeks, from despatch of order to receipt of finished garment, straight to finish. However, extra time must be allowed for fittings. Bear in mind that: DHL or UPS delivery time from China to the UK is within 3 days and DHL or UPS delivery time from the UK to China is within 3 days.

The finished garment is inspected by the professional bespoke tailoring quality controllers and Savile Row tailors before sending it back to the client.
